Owls

The sun came out this week and so did the sweater.

This sweater fits. It is comfy and a little whimsical. I like whimsical.

I didn’t get any poofy action in the back, although I can’t tell you why not. I knit it out of this yarn, which I bought online at this store.

I’ve mentioned before that I’m smitten by Kate Davies, and that knitting her pattern was a little fearsome, but I don’t think I shared my original inspiration.

This mountain. We wanted to climb it for two years, and we successfully summited in August, 2010. The Owl, a lovely mountain. If you like mountains, and you’re in Maine, give it a ramble.

I also wanted to share a beautiful picture of a Barred Owl, that Sue R. took when the womanly women visited Kezar Lake, but for some reason WordPress does not want to import it. A technical adventure for another day.
