Last Bits

I finished Mark’s Christmas hat at 4:40 am this morning. Not because I was trying to get it done, but because a little insomnia can be a good thing for unfinished projects. I don’t know why I was so wound up. Maybe it was Kevin’s injury. Or maybe the end of the year is making me restless. Or both. In any case this hat is practical and just what the receiver wanted. I like the way the ribs come together at the top. Mark likes the way it covers his ears.
Here’s a Ravelry link, just in case.

Now I get to move into new terrain. I got some yummy stash for Christmas, and I’m having fun trying to decide what comes next.

The yarn is all from my favorite boutique hand dyer, HilltopHandspun. The book, by Lorna Miser looks absolutely tasty. I’ve got some ideas… and lots of plans for 2011.
